Melanic started in 1993, when Agnar Ellebye & Brian Quist met in Aarhus. They have been playing as a duo for all these years, mostly in Denmark, Norway and The Faroe Islands. They went to the academy of music, where Agnar played the trumpet and Brian played the violin. Melanic is something different, with Agnar on lead vocals & guitars and Brian on vocals & keyboards. In 2001-2008 they were a quartet with Anders G. Karlsen on the drums and Eugene Hye-Knudsen on the bas. In 2008 they won 1. price in a competition in DR, danish radio. Now Melanic is back to being a duo, Agnar & Brian, who also are the composers of the band. |
